Roland Maurhofer.

Roland Maurhofer is a passionate long-distance runner. His balance and almost inexhaustible energy to find the best possible solution with a sure hand, even in the most complex situations, characterize him. True to the motto «There is always a way. You just have to find it ... or build it yourself. " He and his family get strength and inspiration for his everyday work by hiking, skiing, mountain biking or swimming in the mountain lake in Toggenburg or on the wild coast of Galicia in northern Spain.

Roland Maurhofer studied law at the University of St. Gallen HSG and did his doctorate with a dissertation on Swiss foreign policy and the history of diplomacy under Professor Alois Riklin. During his student days he worked as a waiter and learned early on that customer orientation means thinking and changing perspectives, which he still lives today. He earned his first management spurs as a project manager at a large Swiss insurance group and in the regulatory area of the Swiss stock exchange.

For 15 years, he headed the legal services and administrative board secretariat of listed global market leaders in the industrial and service sectors. He led up to 40 in-house lawyers on five continents and was responsible for M&A transactions of up to CHF 1 billion. As a co-partner and member of the board of directors, he is involved in a family company specializing in high-security solutions and in an asset management company.
